Michael-
A comment on your stuffy nose. It seems somewhat common for many dealing with OSA to have accompanying problems with nasal breathing. It's not a root cause, but it certainly contributes.
My own experience with MMA was that I still needed to treat my nasal problems even after MMA to truly feel healed.
Common options to discuss with your doctor/surgeon might be turbinate reduction (surgical or RF) and septoplasty or sinus surgeries.
I wouldn't advise doing anything until after MMA. I had a turbinate reduction which was AWESOME in opening up my nasal passages - until I had my MMA, and my nasal structures got moved or pulled forward just enough to cause problems. I had a nasal valve reconstruction (septoplasty variant) to restore my free breathing.
The only thing I might recommend is RF turbinate reduction. It's not invasive and virtually no recovery period. If you needed further work done after MMA, it wouldn't be 'redoing' surgery.
