I used a dental appliance for several years following somnoplasty and debulking my turbinates. I also had a UP3 and tongue somnoplasty.

It got it down to 15 episodes per hour but has since creeped back up to 30 so I'm now using CPAP again. The surgeries have made it impossible to sleep with my throat closed enough for CPAP so I have to wrap my head in a stretchy band to keep my mouth closed.

The CPAP is working for now but I'm wondering what will happen once my jaw recedes to it's pre-dental appliance position. I'm considering wearing the appliance during some of my waking hours just to keep the lower jaw moved forward.
