I had some tooth sensitivity for awhile. I was in braces before and after, and it turns out I had some root resorbtion. It made taking the wires off for adjustments excruciatingly painful.

I also had the weird vibration sensitivity that eastbaymom had. Certain sounds or frequencies would make my nerves vibrate and feel quite odd. This eventually went away.

Even today (3+ years later) I sometimes have one or two of my front teeth get a little tingly. I always hope that it means I'm getting more feeling back, but alas it hasn't happened yet.

Whenever I feel bad about a handful of numb spots, I think about people who have the opposite problem. Numbness may represent something "taken away" but it a lot easier to cope with than chronic pain and oversensitivity.
