Hello again - I was recently diagnosed with moderate OSA (read more about me in my previous post) and I'm still in the process of getting answers for the cause of this. I just had my titration study last week and getting my cpap next week.

One thing that has been bugging me this week is post nasal drip. It's making me paranoid when I go to sleep. I have anxiety that my throat will clog up with gunk during the night. So of course it got me thinking - is this part of the cause of OSA??

I read in an older forum on this site that someone thought it was a type of acid reflux (which I have) but I can actually see the gunk in my throat - so I doubt its the same thing. (sorry, I know, gross!)

Ever since that titration study I've been quite congested -I'm thinking it may have to do with the humidifier that was used. I also had a short bout of tonsillitis since then too. So my sleeping has been awful - to a point I'm looking forward to the cpap. (sorry to all the cpap lovers, but I am dreading wearing a mask every night for many many years to come - and yes, I admit, I slept great during the titration study, so maybe my mind will still change on that verdict)

Not planning on having surgery until I know what is contributing to the problem.
