You mentioned that your neck feels tight. I think you should look into the possibility that you may have an abnormally small airway. This is more common in people who have a recessed ("weak") chin/jaw, overbite etc. You would need to see an oral and maxilofacial surgeon who specializes in OSA. They can take x-rays and scopes to look at your airway. If they find that your airway is too small because of your mandibles, they can do MMA to widen the airway. You can read about MMA on wikipedia. Search: "Maxilomandibular Advancement" or "Bimaxilary advancement".

About Asthma, there are many and many types of asthma. For example pollen trigger, dust trigger, and on and on.

CPAP is known to actually expand the diameter of the airway. That is one reason why CPAP gives relief. I have nasal congestion. I love the feeling when I put on my CPAP. It seems to "blow up/inflate" the nasal passages. I can breathe much easier. Do you feel that way when you use CPAP?

A word of caution. Soft tissue surgeries are sometimes recommended by ENT docs. They have a poor record. In contrast, the MMA operation offers much more reliable results, although it is more invasive. That is the trade-off. I hope that you will write the forum to seek feedback before going into any surgeries.
