Very similar issues at the beginning for myself. Face was very sensitive all over (pretty normal, although everything was normal with the surgeon i dealt with)for quite some time. The main issues i had were no feeling in my chin and the lip hypersensitivity. Right now the lip is still doing quite well with this program i am doing; but when i do a lot of talking during the day(s), my lower front teeth, chin and lip start to act up. Again, the lip not so much as before but the teeth sure hurt and it feels more like a bone healing thing now. Dunno?!?! The clear retainers i think are the culprit to everything exept the lip sensitivity. When i cheat and dont wear them for a few hours (for relief) my teeth are super sore/tender and very sensitive. I hope that once the fall comes and i am greenlighted for night use of the retainers life will be better. Also, hope at the one year anniversary (12/11/08) that the bones will have fuly healed. I will look into the neurontin. I too would do it again as long as this long term pain subsides some day. If not it may become an issue for me b/c i talk for a living.
