Good Luck with your doctor and that would be my first recommendation. I am at 9 months post op and counting. You will feel like absolute cr#p for a month if not 2 months. I didnt sleep well for at least a month. I was up almost 18-20+ hours for almost a month. Find out whats going on but my PERSONAL recommendation to anyone getting this procedure in the future (if you can afford it); is to get a personal nurse to watch over the cr#ppy ones you get at the hospital. Also, set up a pain management specialist before your surgery unless your surgeon is willing to provide you the utmost of pain care throughout the whole process. My surgeon was paranoid about liability and losing his license. He supposedly looked at 4 pain mgmt specialists for me and non would take me. Ironically i called the group that my primary care physician belongs to and was able to get an awesome pain mgmt specialist on the spot. This guy knew what we go through, beecause he broke his jaw in a car accident. Best of luck and check in with your doctors. Be absolutely vigilant in your quest to have your concerns addressed and to be as pain free as possible. You'll never be a 100% pain free for the first few months no matter what they give you but they can make life much easier.
