Thanks Gremlin. I sound exactly like I would if I had a severe head cold. It sounds like it is more of a resonance change rather than incomplete sealing. I don't have the sense that sounds escape out my nose. When I talk very soft, my voice is mainly normal as well as when I talk louder. But in between - in my normal voice at work - it sounds like I plugging my nose. It feels like my voice comes from my face/noce rather than my throat.

Originally, I thought that this must be common in MMA recovery - seems reasonable. But, as I have founf out, its not. I saw my surgeon today and he said it might be that there is still some swelling and everything has not settled yet. He thought that if it hasn't changed by 6 months, that it is likely permanant. I'm not too thrilled but I'll wait and see.

Does this sound anything like your initial experience? Initially, when I read your posts from a couple years ago, it didn't sound much like my problem. But, as you mentioned, it took well over a year to stabilize. Have you found any potential 'fixes'? Was your voice clearly different to others? Some people say they don't notice a difference, but others do.

Thanks for the time and the help Gremlin. I hope things are going well with you-
