Well I had MMA and UPPP done and a sleep study confirmed that there was very minimal change. I am now getting back to the point where I am very frustrated with the daytime sleepiness so I am looking at more options.

I am at 27 year old male that is 185lbs 6'1 (I know not the typical sleep apnea mold which makes this all the more frustrating.) I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. A sleep study showed, if i remember correctly, 42 hypopneas (bear with me i forget all the terms.) After the surgeries, it dropped to 37.

I have been back to the doctor who performed the UPPP and he suggested laser surgery to remove part of my tongue which he says is excessivley large. I am kind of worried about that surgery and would like to hear some others expiriences with it. I have also been looking into somnoplasty tongue base procedures but cant seem to find any doctors around my area, which happens to be pittsburgh

So I guess I am hoping to see what everyone has to say about the tongue surgeries they went through and how well they went, and possibly a recommendation of a doctor in my area

I have also tried both CPAP and oral appliances but I can neither keep the CPAP on through the night ( i take it off unkowingly) or keep the appliance in my mouth ( i do the same thing as i do with the CPAP)

any help or comments would be appreciated
