I was at the Imperial Tea in the Ferry Building when I got the call. Dr. K.L. is sick and the surgery needs to be deferred a week.

Interestingly, I had previously considered how disappointing it would be if the surgery was delayed for one reason or another. Having this ahead of me is psychologically taxing.

Hopefully Dr. K.L. will feel well again soon.
