I watched the video a few times. I had missed that complex apnea is typically stable under REM, and not during NREM.

I'm fairly sure I go south during REM. In fact, I suspect that's my big problem. I suspect that I feel so poorly because I get little very REM.

I just about never remember having dreams. Every once in while I have short periods where my apnea improves, and I dream, and I feel much better.

Sadly these periods are brief and far between. I'm spent a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what's going right during this brief periods. But I'm at a complete loss. There was a good week in June of 2007. I've had a few runs of 2-3 days since. The rest of time I'm somewhere between fair and awful.

I suspect I just have a big fat tongue and a small jaw. Too much tissue in too small a space. Simple physics.
