Re: facial swelling. This can take 6 months to settle down. And even after that you are certainly going to look different than you did pre-MMA.

I was not allowed to work out for 3 months post-op and so my fitness level dropped (and I think my body fat percentage probably went up a bit). It took me several months to get fit again. So be aware that you might encounter that issue too.

My doc told me that nerve regrowth can take up to 18 months post-op.
