I wasn't able to brush my teeth for at least two weeks, maybe more like three.

There were stitches at first to avoid, plus I had a plastic splint, plus massive numbness. All of these made it impossible to brush without doing some inadvertent damage.

I was instructed to use peridex plus some other goopy rinse to help keep my mouth cleaner and prevent rapid tooth decay.

My stitches dissolved/were absorbed. I don't recall having any taken out (unlike UPPP or nasal surgery).
