I 2nd the notion that swallowing is hard the few days after
surgery, as you're getting used to the numbness and location of
everything. Not being able to feel your lips, teeth, and cheeks
makes getting anything in you mouth difficult!

Good luck w/ the surgery. 3-wks post-op here...
