Seems reasonable to me. I took narcotics at night for quite a while. Maybe 4 or 5 weeks, I can't remember. After that I took Alleve (naproxen) for a few more weeks.

I was talking normally within a 7-10 days. However, my mouth would get progressively tired and uncomfortable over the course of the day. This continued for several weeks.
