I will say, boy I'm glad I took my 6-wks off! Looking back a
week ago, I could've gone back to work, but I really think I
wouldn't have been much worth. I'm taking 2 more weeks off,
and probably working half days that week. I'm 26, and a "kid",
but boy is this surgery kickin my butt!

I, like yourself, felt like I was sleeping better after a couple days
of being home (no sleep in the hospital!), but have noticed that I
have good & bad days. I was napping the other day, and my g/f
noticed that I was snoring. Telling that to my Dr., he gave me a
look of concern and astonishment. My Dr. told me that I would
be dreaming great and sleeping well right after surgery, which I
believe is the wrong approach. Let me heal, and don't set me up
for expectations!

I definitely think being on a limited diet and the strain of healing
is a major cause of fatigue. While I can last through the day now
with only one can of pop, I am still noticing that I need a nap.
I'm still on meds at night, and occasionally during the day for
pain, but I just got the nod to resume exercising. I tried to light
jog today, but my jaw feels like its very fragile and definitely not
running-proof.

Keep at it. It sounds pretty unaminous that it takes months for
the body to recover and for us to get "good" consistent sleep.

May I ask what your AHI was pre-surgery? Sa02's?
