Two years ago I had the soft tissue surgery which brought my RDI down to 24.9 (all hypopnea) and O2 to 87%. Before the 1st surgery my RDI was 32 with lots of apnea. I did the 1st surgery knowing that there would be a follow-up.

I started exercise last Monday (indoor rock climbing and yoga). I can tell I'm out of shape but it feels like it won't take long to get it back.

On Friday I'll be cleared to eat soft foods. I'm really looking forward to eating something delicious! I'll be curious to see how it feels to use my jaw a bit.

Regarding the snoring, I understand that snoring is correlated to OSA but it can also be totally unrelated. Just because some tissue is flapping with your breathing doesn't mean it's slowing down or stopping the airflow. I think you have the right idea: let yourself completely heal first before deciding the degree of improvement.

I'm happy for you because it seems like every time you post you're feeling a little bit better.
