I don't know your age, but from much of what I have read on this blog and elsewhere, the older you are at time of surgery, the greater the chance healing will take more time, and greater potential for non-complete nerve regeneration in all affected areas. I'm over 50, and at 9 weeks post-op, my recovery is going OK, but I think bone healing has been slower certainly, than if I were 40 or 50, particularly on my upper jaw osteotomy. Nerve regeneration seems to be going OK, as some feeling is coming back in my chin and lower teeth and hard palate, but the upper teeth have had minimal sensation back so far. Just a thought. If you are younger, then the above doesn't apply.
