I have dry throat after LAUP too. My throat is very dry. SOmetimes I choke on my own saliva as saliva. I noticed that my voice got deeper. My blood pressure shot way up.

FOr sure there are lots of people who have had these operations. I have heard lots of comments from medical practitioners about it. For example, one time I was in a sleep apnea clinic and I overheard the nurse telling another patient "we don't like to do the yuuuppps any more". I thought about what a youp would be. She was talking about UPPP (youppp). My own doctor and my dentist who put the braces on my teeth said that they had had many patients who had experienced a deterioration of their health after LAUP. The dentist told me about one poor lady who got worse and kept going back asking for them to take more and more tissue out so that she would get better. The dentist told her that he suggested she not do it, but she put her faith in the doctor with the laser. In the end she had very serious stenosis.
