GER- gastro-esophageal reflux implies just a process in the body. Everyone experiences GER to some extent. But most just do not experience symptoms of it. (GER just implies that acid moves from your stomach into your esophagus). GERD- gastro esophageal reflux disease implies that the common event of GER is affecting the person to the point they are having symptoms. And you can have mild moderate or severe GERD symptoms. And if that doesn't work- try the prilosec. And of course- if you use the CPAP, you can treat both (assuming you actually have GERD at night).
Talk to u soon,
