Good thinking!! Soon you won't even need me. :) That could explain it. Tonsillectomy will not cure or significantly help apnea often in adults (children that is not true). The exception is that if you just have huge tonsils AND they are the site of most of the obstruction. But that is rare. You can have big tonsils but also have palatal and tongue based obstruction.

I am there with you Mike. I am having MMA in a month. I am 37- at least you were 10 years younger than me when diagnosed. Which ever route you go- hopefully you will have it settled by 30 or so and then really get on with your life. For me- I curse the disease every day. But I would not give up the experience of it. It has made me a better person and a much better doctor than I ever would have been. That being said though, I am ready to put the chapter behind me as a patient.
