As of now, I am at 7 weeks post MMA and having a similar experience. Every now and then I get a little anxious about what's normal, so I appreciate your sharing.
My pain is level is very tolerable. Right now my concerns are a near total immobility to move my jaw to the right and the back of my soft palate not seeming to be working right - it's hard to swallow well enough to clear postnasal drop, and it seems to be flopping around and obstructing my breathing during the day. Reading these posts it occurs to me that part of that problem might be due to the numbness and lack of feedback. I will strive to be the "patient patient" too and hope these weird things will clear up on their own.
