I am 30 year old male who has been off the CPAP for almost a couple months now after tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Right before I fully end up sleeping, my heart suddenly beats faster and my oxygen saturation quickly drops from 97 to the low 70s, this causes me to quickly awaken. I then go back to sleep just fine and wake up normally. I remember this has happened even pre-surgery if I was to ever take a quick nap like on the couch.

I read somewhere that my body is just used to the CPAP breathing for me and that's why that happens. Anyway to resolve this? I hope this goes away soon.
