Posted by Capistrano on February 04, 2009 at 06:01:40:I've posted before on this site about my UPPP surgery (and its after effects) in July 05. Most recently, I wake up every morning (or after naps) with an extremely dry mouth. I've been told by my ENT that this is because I am taking in more oxygen, and probably sleeping with my mouth open. I know it's not a major development but it is really annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of sleep. Does anyone out there have any advice on how I can minimize or eliminate this (I do sleep with water or juice near my bed). Also, I have chronic nasal congestion due to a deviated septum and I believe the UPPP has made it worse, because drainage that should be going down is going up. Any advice on you can offer on living with this condition (and I know it's not going away) would be appreciated!!
