Posted by num-numbs on February 05, 2009 at 10:43:16:Hi, I've been suffering with EDS, fatigue, irritation, memory loss and all you all know for years, a year ago I was diagnosed with narcolepsy, a five months ago OSA, and just a couple weeks ago a lumbar puncture ruled out narcolepsy once and for all. I have been on CPAP for 4 months and no improvement, and I cant tolerate the new pressure. At Stanford Sleep Clinic they refer me to Dr. K. L., but he is out of network and even with PPO from United Healthcare, we can't afford it. At the same time, the more I read the more it scares me to choose a doctor for this kind of surgery (I have to decide between 'Nasal + Uvulopalatal flap + Genioglussus Advan.' or 'nasal + MMA') using the criteria - in-network or not.
Any recommendations or advices?
