Consult w/Dr. LW in Dallas, TX

Hey everybody:

My consult is 2/27/09 with the good Dr. LW in Dallas, Tx. I really, really wanted to use Dr. KL but can't afford all of the expenses I would incur (in additon to the surgery expenses)since he is in California. The more research I do the more I realize how very important it is to use the Dr.'s that specialize in sleep apnea surgeries. A Dr. here wants me to have the up3, hyoid suspension, tonsils removed and the radio frequency on the back of my tongue to get some relief since my sleep apnea has been diagnosed as severe and then an upper palate expansion, then braces and wait until my bite is ready and THEN he will do the MMA/GA. I asked if he could do the MMA/GA first and if I could have the majority of the ortho work done after the MMA/GA, he said no. Well it seems that I will go with the braces and then shortly after the braces are on Dr. LW will do the MMA/GA and I will not do any of the soft tissue stuff. I will know for sure after my consult on the 27th. I become pretty emotional when I found out that it is a possiblilty to just go with the MMA/GA quickly. Again I must say that I would have never and I mean never made it as far as I have without you guys. This site has guided me tremendously and I feel has saved me from a lot of uneducated and dangerous medical decisions I would have made if it weren't for Sandman, Dr. KL and all of you on this site.
