Hi Captain:

Wow! What a story. Thank you for being here and educating people like me. Must have been pretty hard to go through all of this knowing it could have been prevented. Thanks to you i will not agree to the upp, zpalasty or hyoid suspension. I will have my mma/ga first. I have probably had sleep apnea since childhood. Narrow recessed lower jaw and narrow upper jaw. All of the ents wanted to do soft tissue removal. I am so very grateful that i investigated the surgeries more. It is this site that helped to educate me enough to avoid some serious health problems. Tentative date on 3/10/09 for upper palate expansion, then braces and then the mma/ga. I have an appt. w/Dr. LW in Dallas, TX. Gremlin and Brian are also using him. NONE of the ents that wanted to do the upp said ONE word about possible side affects. One even said the mma/ga was a very complicated, risky procedure. I mean it is like lying to my face about my options for my health. Unbelievable. As you can probably tell this is my first time having any kind of major medical condition. I am not as trusting of the Drs anymore. Did you go to the MMA/GA gathering in CA? Thought that was neat. Will post after the 24th; after my deviated septum repair. Take care and thanks a million. Silvergirl
