I came across this new-fangled device and as usual ran it through my life-experience filter. Maybe this device could also extrude soft food for the benefit of post-bimax/mma surgery victims.

Notice that the food comes out in a thin strip. I think the resulting sliver of nutrition would fit perfectly between the incisors of a banded jaw.
