This would be a good question for the sleep surgeon.
There are many people who may not have a deviated septum, polyps, etc. that have an easily collapsible nares. One permanent fix is a simple surgery where they insert some cartilage just inside the opening of the nostrils.
The cartilage acts as a splint to keep the nasal airway open. This was done many years ago. There may be some newer treatment now.
