Glad that everything went well! It is nice to hear someone so satisfied.
I have three questions:
1)You say: "He stated that the main nerve was not even exposed". I don not understand by looking at the anatomy how it is possible. The main nerve goes between the gum and the jaw bone. The surgeon has to stretch it in advancing the jaw May be I misunderstand what you mean?
2) How can a doctor say that permanent (not total) numbness will not appear, just after such a surgery. From reading many blogs, I thought that it was a question of probability and that the patient had just to wait and see. Was I wrong?3) Can you tell me what means "septum done"?. The surgeon has to put a tube in the nose to allow us to breath while operating the mouth. So how can he work in the nose?
I ask these questions because, I am planning to go through MMA in July and I am very worried about the numbness. Someone else can also answer me. Thanks.
Good luck!
