Just had my follow up at Dr. LW's office. The posterior pharyngeal space opened up from 9 to 15 mm. The space behind my soft palate looks more open to. And there is still significant swelling from the surgery so radiographic results should get better in a few weeks.

Appearance- There will be a small change but I think for the better.

Numbness- still very numb in lower lip and jaw, less so in the upper lip.

Pain- minimal. Taking Ultram for pain although I am not sure if I really need it.

Energy- feel pretty good. Have some tired moments but going to see a movie with my parents in the theatre.

Diet- eating boost and strained soups without a problem. No problems swallowing.

Sleeping- took Klonipin and slept like a baby for 12 hours. Still too early to say about the apnea. I think I am dreaming but I had dreams before the surgery as well.

I was cleared to leave the Dallas area on Sunday- 5 days after surgery. I definitely feel the effects of the surgery but the recovery has been so easy that I feel like I am missing something.

I will keep posting. I will be interested to hear from silvergirl who had her appointment today at LW's office. I missed her by a couple of hours.

Thank you for your support.

Brian
