Sounds like you're doing great! If you're doing this well "off the starting line," hopefully you will have a very smooth and uneventful recovery. You might experience some moderate discomfort a few weeks from now, when the nerves in your jaw start waking up and saying "yikes what the heck just happened?!" But that might be the worst of it.

I had my MMA last year at age 31 and recovered pretty quickly. One thing to watch out for is that you may feel like you have a lot of energy, but you will make your jaw sore if you stress it too much. So even if you have the energy for an hour-long conversation with a friend, your jaw won't be pleased 2 hours later.
