I had my LAUP in 1992 and it didnt hurt my voice, and i never went back after the first tier of it. Then in 2001, a botchd MMA gave me severe hypernasality. Neither procedure helped the OSA. Dr LW at Baylor says i have an occult submucous cleft palate. I never had any voice problems before the botched MMA. My question, have you seen alot of people with ruined voices from the 1-2 punch of both operations? And is the voice ever really repairable? Dr LW is prepared to take me on with another MMA (as the first MMA didnt move my jaws forward at all!), and my OSA is just as bad). And he is going to reconstruct the soft palate with levator palatine muscle repositioning and bilateral lateral inversion flaps. And install a fat graft to soft palate. I am so alone in that I havent heard of someone who has had my rusult. Thanks
