I am an advocate of the trach only because of the failure of the cpap trial and no time for any other surgery to be evaluated. I was near dead at the time of the trach.

Instead of all the horror stories about other types of surgery why is the trach not used more often if only to restore health before other surgery?

I have brain stem injury and central nervous system sleep apnea for 46 years; mixed apnea and a trach for 15 years.

Thank you

Flip
