Question for Dr. Li about scarring

Dear Dr. Li,

My brother is an orthopedic surgeon. He told me that scarring is an individual trait. One person might be more prone to scarring than the person sitting next to him. In other words, one person might scar a lot and another person not nearly as much. Do you agree with this?
