I don't know if the AHI is solely due to obstructive events or also have central events. However, although possible, it is unlikely an AHI of 16 is going to lead to significant desaturation like yours. I posted the possibilities in earlier post. I would still recommend the same thing-see a sleep physician that is also a pulmonary specialist. My assumption is that your AHI is much higher than 16, which is reflected in the desaturation unless you have lung problems. If so, you definitely should be treated.
