Hey Brian:
6 hrs sounds heavenly! Has your memory improved?
Energy level? Guess it feels good to get out with the friends; I quit committing to social invites cause when it is time I am too tired. Take it easy at work maybe you could start with 3 r 4 days a wk? Yes, I need extensive ortho work; should of had it done as a child and really wanted it in high school. As I became older it did not matter anymore. The braces are supposed to make you look younger and as you know so does the MMA. I look about early 40's so I told my sweetie i am going to look about 12 years old. Just kidding and I am not complaining. I see the ortho Dr. LA in Katy, Tx on 4/15/09 so that he can start getting my mouth ready for surgery. Haven't heard from Dr. LW Dallas, TX yet about a surgery date but it seems to be coming together. Yes I have tmj there is a huge gap at the left jaw area (shows in the xray). Dr. LW is the only Dr. that brought it to my attention. Well the assistant at Dr. LA office pointed it out to me also. I have had pain and headaches on the left side for so many years that I thought it was normal. Yes the Mitek anchors will be used. How lucky to get free braces they are expensive but I feel like i am getting quality from Dr. LA so I do not mind paying for it. He actually specializes in treating people with jaw deformities, jaw surgeries etc. I am worried about being able to afford Dr. LW; I have to have him I have done enough research and blogged with enough apnea pt.'s that have had mma's to know that it is imperative that i have a surgeon skilled and knowledgable about sleep apnea and the surgical procedures. I am preparing to do battle with my ins. co. if necessary. So this is so long and have started to ramble. Go slow with your recovery, baby yourself, read western joe's blog. take care, silvergirl
