Posted by SleepyJohn on April 11, 2009 at 11:22:31:I was diagnosed with sleep apnea 4 years ago. I've using a cpap, but the results aren't very good. These days I have cpap machine which reports events. The AHI with the CPAP isn't terribly high, but feel quite poorly. There's been debate at time as to whether I feel poorly for some other reason. I really doubt it. The correlation between the AHI that the CPAP reports and how I feel is quite strong. When the CPAP reports mid single digits, I do fairly well, at 10, I'm not very good at all. Lately I'm lucky to get a few nights a week below 10. Most nights are 12. The machine is actually an auto-pap. Why it doesn't adjust to better handle the events, I don't know.
So what next? This isn't working.
