I'm recently diagnosed with moderate OSA. I'll try CPAP, but am already looking for other solutions just in case. Has anyone tried the exercises for the tongue and throat that appear to have had some success in studies (eg, at the U of Sao Paolo Medical School-- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19234106)? Does anyone have a link that describes what exercises they used? It's a big time commitment, but my subjective experience is that my problem is muscular in that airway restriction can happen (during 'simulated' full relaxation) even with my bite normal; I feel the muscles in my throat losing tone and collapsing. I'll bother neighbors singing full operas if that's what works.
