I have something called Stickler's Syndrome....Youd never know by looking at me. But its symptoms can be 1 or all 6 of.....scoliosis, extreme nearsghtenness, joint pain that worsens with age, hearing problems, submucous cleft palate, MVP, and guess what? a retrognathic jaw. I have the bad eyes, so bad that i got vitreous detachments at age 27, curved spine from a leg being shorter, and bad palate (thats part of why an MMA gave me a post op hairlip voice), and a retrognathic (small) lower jaw. It is supposed to be a very common syndrome. It probably was teenage headgear orthodontics for an overbitev that reallly did the damage in causing my small airway. I think my spine hasnt had anything to do with it, I always had back pain , but ironically it is manuel labor that saved me all these years, as my back is very strong. Only at age 42 did i discover that one leg was 17 mm shorter. So I got 2 shoe gels, stacked them in a shoe, and it has really helped. When i got some different shoes and didnt stack the gels, I got a backach that lasted 2 weeks.
Do you excersice any. Ifi dont get in one session a week , (all i can handle), i start shutting down and get alot of joint pain. Keep in mind, i still have apna as my MMA was botched.
Good luck
