swelling & numbness...HOW LONG??

I had my MMA surgery Apr 29th which they say was successful but i am nervous about how the results will make me look... moved 8mm top and 12mm bottom. i had a short chin and it's been extended a bit but the top extension is what worries me... they wanted to move it enough to cure the sleep apnea and seemed less concerned about my appearance. (and yes, i think the apnea's cured, it's just hard to sleep for other post-surgery reasons like my stuffy nose!). Right now my face is still so swollen and numb so I can't tell the results. I can barely move my lips and so I actually drool at times! My nose is spread out. I look somewhat ape-ish! For those of you who had severe swelling and numbness, how long did it take to subside?? They told me it can take over a month. Tomorrow I have my first follow-up appt...
