Here's some news out of my hometown of Concord, MA. This company claims to be developing a device that would allow surgeons to shrink tonsils using "controlled thermal therapy," rather than cutting the tonsils out. At first it looked similar to LAUP, but perhaps it does not use lasers, because it seems their goal is to avoid postoperative wounds entirely.
