I know that you have had a terrible experience, with UPPP. That is what happened to me also. I think that if you are dissatisfied, and cannot benefit from CPAP, then I wonder if you might consider MMA. MMA is known as the "salvage" operation for failed UPPPs, and unlike UPPPs has solid data and many satisfied people who are coming forward after 5-10 years to speak to its efficacy. I suspect that you may stand a good chance to improve if you had that operation. I know how you must feel after what you have already endured - "once bitten, twice shy" - but I do think that in this case, an improvement in your situation might be possible. I also doubt very much that you would end up any worse off.
