Thanks for the suggestion about the MMA. I am sorry you had a bad experience with UPPP, also. I bet there are a lot of us out there!! I'm not sure if my apnea is coming back, I'm still having dreams (I didn't before) but I am more tired lately. I guess at some point I should have a new sleep study. It's very frustrating that the "fixes" for apnea involve surgeries with side effects, or CPAP that a lot of folks can't tolerate. You are right I am definitely gun-shy about any kind of further surgery.
