Numbness can be permanent. I have had numbness in the roof of my mouth for about one and a half years. I wonder if it will go away. I suspect that it may not.

As for swelling, it takes a while, maybe even a couple of mnnths (eg. two, three, four months etc before every last bit of the swelling goes down).

Congrats on achieving an improvement in your apnea.
