I may be completely off base as I have not examined you. If your drainage is from one side only, it may be related to the operation and not a routine sinusitis (although it is possible for drainage from both sides to be related to the operation as well, it is much less likely). If the maxillary sinus infection is related to the MMA, your ENT will not be able to sort it out. Scoping only shows the intranasal region and not within the maxillary sinus. If there is a maxillary sinus infection, which may be related to plates/screws or any grafting material placed at the time of the operation, an exploration and debridement may be needed (worse case). You need a sinus CT scan to evaluate the area. Again, I may be completely off base as I have not examined you, but just trying to help.
