Of course a person wouldn't have MMA just for snoring, but I'm suspicious that your apnea improved so much because you lost 22 pounds. Possible, just not very typical from what we've seen on this forum.
By the way, congrats on the weight loss.
Was the lab the same with all tests? Did the scoring Dr change or the scoring criteria?
I'm going to throw this out as just an idea:
I'm wondering if it's possible that your brain has adapted to apnea by reducing your deep sleep stages and turning the apneas into hypopneas. It's reasonable to think our bodies attempt to adapt to nightly life-or-death suffocation.
If that's the case, you still need to deal with it. Also if this is the case, it's likely to get worse and you might eventually have more symptoms. Just an idea, I'm not a Dr and am just going on some things I've seen over the years.Do you have any other soft-tissue issues that are obvious issues? Turbinates, Tonsils, septum, etc?
Have you tried cpap just to see what happens? Did they try cpap in the studies at all?
