I agree with Learian. The improvement from 8 wks to now is dramatic and it was not noticable to others that entire time.

For me, the timeframe where people didn't seem to notice the slurring occurred after ~6 mos and at that time, it occurred sometimes when I spoke too fast and not paying attention.

Remember, your mouth has a lot of adjustments to make. In addition to the bone changes, the muscles in your neck are learning that this new extended position is the new "natural" state. (And yes, my tongue was a little awkward on one side and it got better!)
