Is it the extended release Adderall? I took Adderall before my
surgery. It was XR 20mg (extended release). I found that if I
took it every day that it would lose its effect. So I only took it a
few days each week. I did not have any side effects with the
Provigil. I think some people can have some but most do not.
You can buy the generic form of Provigil called Modalert on line
from Europe. You do not need a prescription. But I would
double check the on line pharmacy and make sure they are
reputable. Maybe you could have your doctor just write for a
handful to see if it helps you first. Provigil appears to be a much
cleaner drug than the medications like adderall. They don't
seem to have the same problems with rebound fatigue,
tolerance, etc. But there are likely always exceptions.

This advice is not as a physician but as a patient and should not
replace consulting your doctor. When is your surgery
scheduled?
