Post-MMA, my relaxation technique was: liquid Percoset :-)
Eventually I had to stop using that, so I went back to my standard "sleep hygiene" techniques. A few that come to mind:
-Dim the lights a few hours before bedtime
-Shower (or hot washcloth on my face) before bed
-Reading tends to make me sleepy
-Deep breathing. I don't count heartbeats, I just try to slow down my breathing in general.
